How are Social Media Monitoring and data collection reshaping the future of TV from marketing and broadcaster’s standpoint, and from the viewers’ standpoint? In this talk, social media strategist and digital entrepreneur Emanuela Zaccone will tell us more about how the Social TV trend emerged, how it changed business - from an increasing mobile video consumption to cord-cutting - and what big data means for TV.

Emanuela Zaccone has been into Social Media Marketing since 2007, having worked for international companies and universities (Eridania Sadam, Telecom Italia Group and LUISS Guido Carli University) and startups. In 2010 she was nominated by Telecom Italia as one of the best Italian talents and was the lead analyst of Reputation Monitoring Room, a facility aimed to collect and analyze real time data stemming from Social Media about Telecom Italia and its competitors. In 2012 she co-founded TOK.tv, a Silicon Valley-based Social Media and Social TV business, the Voice Social Platform for Sports Fans and fastest growing social network in sports, with partners like Real Madrid, FC Barcelona, Juventus FC and Italian Serie A. Emanuela holds a PhD from University of Nottingham, is a member of the Juridical and Ethical issues research group of Italian National Research Council; the research group "Internet: freedom of information and people's protection” at ASTRID, the Italian foundation focused on analysis, studies and researched aimed to reform democratic institutions; the "Data Application and Social Innovation" research center of Link Campus University (Rome). She is a columnist for Wired, Digitalic, and Il Sole 24 Ore.
