Five years ago, Facebook Groups was completely rebuilt to serve the needs of small group communication. We’ll explore what social dynamics of the groups product helped it grow to over 850 million monthly active users, in comparison to the product that existed before. This talk will be by Bob Baldwin, who both was the lead engineer revamping groups in 2010 and the team’s current product lead.
