The talk will review recent progresses and open problems concerning the well-posedness of some classes of SPDEs related to fluid mechanics. Common feature is the structure of the noise, which is multiplicative, depending on the gradient of the solution, of Stratonovich type. Our main interest is in the possibility that this noise improves the theory of the corresponding PDEs, for instance depleting blow-up mechanisms.
