Prior to joining Nextech Invest Ltd. in 2007, Kwon was with Novartis International as a
senior research planner and scientific assistant to the head of corporate research. She has
obtained scientific training in genomics, virology and molecular genetics at institutions in
Korea, USA, Singapore and Switzerland. Kwon holds a PhD from Novartis Research
Foundation, Friedrich-Miescher Institute/University of Basel, Switzerland, and has
completed a post- doctorate research fellowship at the same institution. She is a member
or observer of the board of directors of ImVisioN Therapeutics, MacroGenics, Sunesis
Pharmaceuticals and TeLoRmedix. During this seminar she will speak about international
careers, Venture Capital for life sciences and her personal experience as a woman in both
scientific and industrial worlds.
