I will show evidence of the reality of ITER from views of the work site and from manufacturing facilities around the world. Then I describe the top-level view of the ITER Research Plan that was revised in 2017, and go through the main objectives of each phase, so that the audience has a feel for how we will get from First Plasma to Q=10 and steady-state Q=5. I will try to highlight Physics R&D needs and try especially to point to things where TCV can contribute.
