The European Partnership on Transforming Health and Care Systems (THCS) has launched its 4th Joint Transnational Call (JTC) on the theme of “Access to care.” This call invites proposals that aim to promote equitable access to, and effective utilisation of, health and care services across Europe.
Aim
Co-funded by Horizon Europe, THCS supports research and innovation that enhance the resilience, sustainability and inclusiveness of health and care systems. The call targets projects that address inequities in access to care, develop evidence-based and scalable service models, and provide policymakers with practical tools to improve resource allocation and advance integrated care.
Consortium Eligibility
- At least three eligible partners requesting funding from at least three different countries participating in the call.
- At least two partners must be legal entities from two different EU Member States or Horizon Europe Associated Countries.
- Maximum of nine funded partners in one consortium.
- No more than two funded partners may come from the same country.
Switzerland will participate in the call through two funding partner organisations SNSF and Innosuisse. For detailed information on each agency’s funding contribution, regulations and eligibility criteria, please refer to sections 1.30 and 1.31 of the call text document.
Project Funding and Duration
Project duration: 12–36 months
Funding rates:
- Research organisations: 100% of eligible costs
- SMEs / Start-ups (<250 FTE): 50% of eligible costs
- Large companies (≥250 FTE): 25% of eligible costs
Call Timeline
- Pre-proposal deadline: 02 February 2025, 14:00 CET (Find the pre-proposal template here)
- Full-proposal deadline: 30 June 2026, 14:00 CEST
- Late October 2026: Final funding recommendations
- Early 2027: Expected project start date
