Aim: The program offers unrestricted funds and AWS Promotional Credits to support research at academic institutions and non-profit organizations in areas that align with our mission to advance customer-obsessed science.

- AI for Information Security : Advancing cybersecurity with AI
- Alexa Fairness in AI : Building AI for everyone
- AWS AI : Advancing frontiers of machine learning
- AWS Automated Reasoning : Security assurance, backed by mathematical proof
- Robotics : Pursuing the future of robotics research
Funding:
- Unrestricted funds, no more than $80,000 USD on average
- AWS Promotional Credits, no more than $20,000 USD on average
- Training resources, including AWS tutorials and hands-on sessions with Amazon scientists and engineers
Duration: One year
Eligibility:
The Principal Investigator:
- is not a paid employee of a government entity (other than an accredited academic institution);
- is not under US export controls or sanctions;
- has not been a director, officer, employee, intern or contractor of Amazon or its affiliates within the 12 months preceding application to the ARA Program (“Ineligible Personnel”);
- not a member of the immediate family or household of Ineligible Personnel;
- has not participated in or had decision-making authority over any cloud infrastructure procurements involving AWS or its affiliates
How to Apply:
- Read the ARA Program Rules and FAQs to determine award eligibility.
- Download and complete the proposal template, making sure to answer any additional questions as requested.
- Submit your proposal through the online submission tool before the deadline, 11.10.2020.
