Leadership & Digital Technology Serving Ecological Transition

The ecological transition is a major challenge that will require a reinvention of our practices, both in our ability to lead our teams and in our ability to seize the opportunities of new technologies. Cultures of agility, lean startup, design thinking, and the importance of psychological safety within teams are all currents stemming from digital transformations that deserve to be disseminated beyond the digital world. Similarly, promising technologies such as AI, intuitive client interface design, RPA (Robotic Process Automation), and many others are significant levers for building our intelligent network of tomorrow and accompanying citizens on their decarbonization journey.

Assia Garbinato is a data scientist and artificial intelligence expert who completed her PhD at EPFL in 2000. After building a career as a leader within Vaudoise Assurances culminating in her appointment as Head of Data & Information management in 2019, she joined Romande Energie as Chief Data Officer in 2020. She was appointed Head of Digital & Innovation in 2021. As a manager, she values a human approach and sees self-awareness and self-development as tools to achieve this.
