The Climate Change AI summer school is designed to educate and prepare participants with a background in artificial intelligence (AI) and/or a background in a climate change-related field to tackle major climate problems using AI.
This year, the summer school consists of two independent components: an open-to-all virtual program and a selective in-person program (from August 14-18, 2023 in Montreal, Canada).  

Applications for the in-person program are now closed however we encourage you take part in the virtual part of this summer school. 

Highlights:
  • Introductory lectures on tackling climate change with AI, and introductions to both areas

    • Agriculture, Forestry, and Other Land Use

    • o Impacts and Regulation of AI & Climate
    • o Human and Social Systems
  • 12 practical coding tutorials on the above mentioned areas using Jupyter Notebooks
  • Expert panel discussions and lightning talks
