CODEV Seed Money Conference: “Encouraging collaboration with partners from the Global South”

The Seed Money grants enable EPFL scientists to consolidate research partnerships and carry out applied research that has a positive impact on sustainable development.
During the Seed Money Conference, EPFL researchers and their partners will discuss their collaboration experiences with participants and present their results achieved and impact generated. They will also talk about the opportunities and challenges to bring their seed money projects to the next level.
Confirmed speakers include Prof. Ursula Röthlisberger (LCBC), who will present her lately collaboration experience with Iranian partners on the project « Computational and experimental design of low cost solar cells with enhanced efficiencies », and Prof. Christophe Moser (LPAD), who will show the highlights of his project « Contactless sensing and temperature regulation in an infant incubator for developing countries », implemented this year with Indian colleagues. On a subsequent session, Dr. Felippe De Alencastro (GR-CEL) and Prof. Katrin Beyer (EESD) will present preliminary results of their work in Vietnam and Colombia respectively, and will discuss their collaboration prospects. Further speakers include: Dr. Sandor Kasas, Dr. Yves Pedrazzini, Dr. Nicolas Wyrsch.
This occasion will include the launch of the Call for Seed Money Projects 2017.
The conference will be followed by a networking lunch.The event is free of charge, but registration is mandatory since places are limited. Please register here.
