The INSPIRE Potentials – MARVEL Master's Fellowship is an initiative to broaden the opportunities for women in science. It offers 6-months fellowships (12'000 CHF) to female students to conduct their Master's research thesis in a group participating in the NCCR MARVEL, in the domains of computational materials science, electronic-structure simulations, machine learning and big-data. In a field of science where women are still strongly underrepresented, the INSPIRE Potentials – MARVEL Master's Fellowships aim to support excellent female students in their Master's thesis projects, while giving them access to outstanding research facilities and environments. Since the first edition in spring 2016, already 56 fellows have been admitted.

The next deadline for application is 15 April 2025. This will be the last call directly supported by the NCCR MARVEL, with up to 3 fellowships. Those fellowships should start at the latest in November 2025.
