AIM: This FOA targets technology developments that will provide significant improvements in drilling performance in commercial geothermal settings. The ultimate goal is a reduction in geothermal well costs. Improvement of 25% in geothermal drilling rates is expected.
The EERE is seeking to support multiple demonstration projects that each target this level of improvement. Teaming arrangements are strongly encouraged from drilling services providers, well service companies, research institutions, geothermal operators, developers or others.

DEADLINE: Letters of intent are due by April 4, full applications are due June 3. 

ELIGIBILITY: EPFL researchers are eligible to participate as subawardee or as a prime if a waiver is granted. . Contact the Research Office for assistance with requesting a waiver.
