2-challenge area:

Area 1: Facilitating Ocean Area Co-Existence, including (1) novel technical tools that improve shared use within offshore wind ocean areas amongst commercial fisheries, recreational ocean users, or land-side stakeholders and (2) technical or strategic innovations to mitigate the ecological impacts.

Area 2: Electrical and Grid Challenges Unique to Offshore Wind Transmission, such as (1) strategic and technical innovations to improve offshore wind and provision of grid forecasting or (2) technical innovations to improve offshore wind grid reliability / resilience in extreme conditions.

DEADLINE: Concept Paper Submissions due by March 9, 2022 and Full Proposal Submissions due by April 28, 2022

ELIGIBILITY: EPFL researchers are eligible to participate as subawardee or as a prime if a waiver is granted. Contact the Research Office for assistance with requesting a waiver.
