The EPFL Photo Club, thanks to the precious collaboration with Canon and with the World Photo Press, is proud to announce the conference "Jérôme Sessini: Finding the Right Distance in Photography".
Associate photographer of the photography agency Magnum, Jérôme Sessini has been reporter of most of the international events of the last two decades: from the war in Kosovo to Palestine, from the coup d'état in Haiti to the Lebanese war, from Iraq to the conquest of Mogadishu - Somalia - by the Islamic militias, his lenses were there to witness and record some of the harshest occurrences of the contemporary history.
Furthermore, thanks to his outstanding work during the conflict in Ukraine, he obtained the international acknowledgment of the World Press Photo prize for the reportage "Final Flight for Maidan"
During the conference, he will share his experience and perspectives as a photojournalist and will present us his recent work.
So, don't hesitate to come by, there's a lot to learn and to be inspired from.
The conference will be followed by an apero !
