Our in-house expert Dr. Daniel Sage will give an workshop on "Basics of Image Denoising" during our next imaging lunch. Open to all EPFL PhD students and Postdocs!

The image denoising plays a crucial role as the initial step in many image analysis pipelines, when working with real images. In this workshop, we will demonstrate how to reduce noise while striving to preserve the visual features. Various image denoising techniques will be presented, ranging from simple image filters to cutting-edge deep-learning approaches. Additionally, practical tools will be showcased along insights into the intuitive foundations of these algorithms.
