Le Centre de Recherches en Physique des Plasmas (CRPP) devient le Swiss Plasma Center à l’occasion d’un élargissement de son domaine d’activités tant en direction des plasmas de fusion que des applications plasmas. Pour marquer cette transition, une série de conférences seront données par les principaux responsables des programmes de recherches en plasmas et en fusion, nationaux et internationaux.
