MSCA Staff Exchanges promote international, intersectoral and interdisciplinary collaboration in research and innovation through exchanging staff, knowledge and ideas at all stages of the innovation chain. The staff exchange is open to research, technical, administrative and managerial personnel.

How does it work?

A consortium of at least 3 legal entities in different EU member states or associated countries can apply, Switzerland as a non-associated 3rd country can participate as “associated partner”. Staff exchanges from Swiss organisations to other partners in the consortium will be directly financed by the State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation.

The maximum project duration is 48 months. Staff, leaving on secondments receive a top up allowance of EUR 2,300/month, the sending organization receives EUR 1,300/month for project costs and EUR 1,000/month for management costs.

Requirements

Swiss organisations, participating in an MSCA Staff Exchange project, need to provide a commitment letter.
