Open Science – ETH Domain Open Research Data (ORD) program – Launch of 7th call Contribute
|Call for proposal
The ETH Domain Open Research Data (ORD) Program consists of five measures to foster and improve ORD practices with the broader aim of advancing Open Science among ETH Domain researchers and institutions.
The overall aim of Measure 1 of the ETH Domain Open Research Data (ORD) Program is to support researchers engaging in or developing ORD practices with and for their community(-ies) and to assist these researchers in becoming Open Science leaders in their field(s). Its secondary goal — in synergy with Measure 2 — is to strengthen the connections between research communities and services and infrastructures providers.
The ETH Domain is now launching one of the last Contribute calls for applications. The deadline for this 7th call of the Contribute track falls on 15 April 2024 (17:00 CEST). Funding is available for projects up to 12 months with an overall budget that must be CHF 30’000. Applications can be received from the six ETH Domain institutions: EPFL, ETHZ, PSI, WSL, Empa, Eawag.
Within this Contribute track, funding aims at:
● Contributing a piece of software, data, hardware, etc, which simplifies an established ORD practice, develops its research potential, or otherwise improves it;
● Curating or otherwise improving available ORD, for example, by updating existing data to adapt it to the evolution of ORD practices or by linking different ORD datasets or by collecting and curating existing data before uploading it to an ORD platform;
● Providing community services, such as the organization of a workshop or training, or coordination for the development of an ORD standard.
Eligibility requirements and the application guidelines can be found on the ETH-Domain’s ORD Program webpage for Measure 1.
