RemoteCon is one of the first conferences of its kind. It aims to shine a light on the possibilities surrounding remote work, the tools and technology required, how to build a company culture when employees may only see each other a couple of times a year and the legal implications of working remotely.
The goal of the conference is to inform and educate the audience and the world about the possibilities that can be offered through today's technologies.  
The conference will be freely available online through Zoom. Attendees must register ahead of the event to gain access to the conference.

There will be three themes explored during the conference which are outlined below:

Tools & Tech for remote work
Discussing some of the best tools that makes remote work seamless for the employees. This track will explore those available and will aim to enable the audience to discover these new tools and how to use them.

Organization & Culture when working remotely
Culture and organisation are pivotal for a company to function well, even more so when working remotely. This track aims to explore how successful teams and companies have implemented a remote work culture successfully.

The Law concerning remote work
Many companies are concerned by the legal implications of allowing their workforce to work remotely, or they have everything ready but not the legal aspect. This track will look into the labour laws of the 21st century and propose potential solutions.

Speakers joining for this first edition include Darren Murph, Head of Remote at GitLab, Prithwiraj Choudhury, Professor at Harvard Business School, Leila Zia, Principal Research Scientist and Head of Research at Wikimedia Foundation and Johann Roduit, Founding Partner at Conexkt.
