Take part to the next Research Data Lunch Talks “Open Data and Open Source: ensuring longevity beyond the project”, on February 13th. Open to everyone interested, it will take place from 12:15pm to 1:45pm in CO3. Discover how researchers across diverse fields are leveraging open data and open-source tools to ensure their projects' longevity, and don’t miss this opportunity to connect with experts and gain valuable insights to advance your own research.

During the first part of the event, the EPFL RDM Team will present an overview of Research Data Management initiatives at EPFL, followed by the following short talks:

  • “Privacy-preserving federated learning: from academic papers to Tune Insight SA”
    by Prof. Jean-Pierre Hubaux, Academic Director of the EPFL Center for Digital Trust
     
  • “Open Science & educational platforms/resources”
    by Dr. Denis Gillet, Head of the EPFL Interaction Systems Group
     
  • “Processing scientific data in the web browser”
    by Dr. Luc Patiny, Lecturer and Scientist for EPFL ISIC Data Management Platform
     
  • “Challenges and opportunities for promoting open science in mechanics”
    by Prof. Jean-François Molinari, Full Professor at the Computational Solid Mechanics Laboratory

Finally, after the talks, you will have the opportunity to discuss with the panel of speakers.

The event is free upon registration, with lunch bags offered to each participant by the EPFL Library. For sustainability reasons, plastic water bottles will not be provided. Please bring your own drinks.
