S2S × EC EPFL × ACE Hackathon: Electricity Price Forecasting with Frigg
We invested in Frigg because we believe the energy transition has a data problem.
Billions in renewable energy projects, like solar parks, hydro installations and battery units, go unfunded every year. Not because they're bad investments, but because the infrastructure to evaluate and finance them at scale simply doesn't exist yet.
Frigg is building it. A marketplace for small and medium renewable energy projects, paired with tools to help investors and developers screen, assess, and benchmark deals that traditional finance has ignored for too long.
Now we're bringing that problem to the best data minds at ETH Zurich and EPFL.
Real energy market data. Real analytical challenge. Happening simultaneously in Zurich and Lausanne.
We've partnered with the ETH Analytics Club and the EPFL Entrepreneurs Club to run a hands-on forecasting challenge where students go head to head across two cities, stepping into the shoes of an analyst working on high-impact clean energy investments.
