Are you a Scala user or enthusiast? Do you want to meet other people who are using Scala at EPFL? Then join us for the Scala Lunch!

We are thrilled to have Prof. Martin Odersky at this Scala Lunch with his talk "Scala's Role in the Programming Languages Ecosystem". This is also a talk he is going to give during Madrid's Scala Days - be the first one to get to know the most recent news about the new Capture Calculus and its impact in the larger programming languages landscape.

Scala has a unique role between functional and object-oriented programming, between cutting-edge research and mainstream industries. Filling this role is not always easy. In my talk I give an overview where Scala stands now, what some of the challenges are, and I outline our vision for the future.

The Scala Lunch is an opportunity to share a meal with other EPFL Scala enthusiasts. Bring your lunchbox and join us for a casual meal, find out what excites the others about Scala, and share your own excitement.
