Placing body and movement back at the centre of teaching and learning

This one-day seminar will address the presence of the body in higher education. We will focus on different pedagogical strategies that guide educational design inspired by performing arts. Improvisation, collective creation, embodied knowledge, collaboration with artists, and the use of physical and symbolic space, will be the main axes of the meeting. The seminar will alternate moments of workshops with expert guests and reflections on the consequences of the transformation of the traditional educational setting into one that places the body at the centre of the teaching and learning process. The seminar will provide space for sharing practices, reflecting on personal projects and institutional difficulties, while offering the opportunity to connect with a network of passionate and
innovative educators.

Addressed to Teachers in Higher Education (Universities, HEP, HES, EPF, Vocational Education and Training, etc.)
