The Booster Fonds supports innovative research into neurodegenerative diseases beyond the scope of the Synapsis Foundation’s Principal Investigator Grants and Career Development Awards.
Eligibility Criteria
- Senior researchers or faculty members at a Swiss university, university hospital or university of applied sciences
- Start-up companies are not eligible for funding
- Start-ups or industry partners may participate as co-applicants but will not receive funding from the Foundation
- Basic or clinical research on neurodegenerative diseases
- Technology development, proof-of-principle studies and novel digital approaches
- High-risk and out-of-the-box proposals encouraged
- Dementia-focused projects prioritised
- Two-step procedure
- Letter of intent deadline - 31 December 2026
- Preselected applicants will be invited to submit a full proposal within 4 weeks
