Abstract: With the growing presence of the large international vertically integrated companies, the business’ in Europe need to collaborate and work together towards a shared goal in which to complete effectively. This talk will discuss an evolving thread across various EU company, research institutes and universities to form an alliance under which the participants can indicate their participation of a shared goal. In using the business model and the ARM technology various consortium have formed an ecosystem that is now able to address the higher compute requirements of the cloud and HPC. In describing the architecture and goals of EUROSERVER, one of these consortium, this talk will introduce the outline system architectural framework around which consensus is growing and the goals in moving it towards exascale.
