IEEE Student Branch at EPFL is organizing a visit to CERN in Geneva on Saturday 25th October!

A bus will leave from EPFL campus around 14h00 and the we will back at 19h00.
We will visit the Microcosm museum and the Globe interactive exhibitions. Then we will move to the core of Large Hadron Collider, the CMS experiment.
You will have the possibility to visit the CMS underground before its closure with a guided tour.

15 CHF for IEEE Members and 20 CHF for non-IEEE members.

Before visiting CMS all visitors are informed that:

Closed, flat or block-heeled shoes are required for the site visits and helmets will be provided.
It is not possible to take bags or backpacks larger than 10 litres to the underground areas. CERN does not take any responsibility for items left unattended during the visit.
Pregnant women close to labour, for safety reasons, should not go underground.
For people with reduced mobility, please inform us in advance.
For children, please verify in advance with the visit coordinator if they may attend. Children under 8 years old will not be able to go to the underground.
If persons equipped with any of the following: pacemaker, defibrillator, electronic medicine dispenser, hearing aid, metal implant, please inform us in advance.
Please, stay with the guide during the whole visit.
Should an alarm occur please follow the instructions given by your guide who will conduct you to the surface using the lift.
