Talk - May 27, 2025
How to feel mentally well, manage stress, and search for meaning in life are universal questions that concern us all. Meditation and contemplation are well-established tools that can support both everyday well-being and a deeper sense of orientation in life. Several ancient Eastern philosophies have long encouraged an inward contemplative journey and offer insights born from that exploration. This talk will provide an introduction to meditation and explore ideas about the sense of self and life, inspired by Eastern wisdoms and philosophical traditions, such as Buddhist theories. The session will conclude with a short, in-place meditation, followed by time for questions and discussion.

17:35–18:30: Talk on meditation and Eastern wisdom
18:30–18:50: In-place meditation practice
18:50–19:15: Q&A and discussion
