This conference will conclude the semester program on "Euler Systems and Special Values of L-functions". The goal will be to present recent advances in the constructions of Euler systems, their applications to the Birch and Swinnerton-Dyer conjecture and Iwasawa theory. Emphasis will be given on novel results obtained during the semester. Read more about "Recent Developments on the Arithmetic of Special Values of L-functions"

We will overview some recent advances in optimization algorithms used for the training of generalized linear models (regression, classification). While in machine learning, the main work-horse algorithm is stochastic gradient descent, its lesser known cousin, coordinate descent, also has a lot of interesting properties. After a brief introduction, we will discuss distributed algorithm variants as ... Read more about "Recent Developments in Linear Regression"
