I will show that continuous optogenetic stimulation of excitatory neurons in visual cortex results in strong gamma-band oscillations, and respective white-noise stimulation reveals gamma-band resonance. Correspondingly, visual stimulation with artificial or natural stimuli induces gamma-band synchronization.
