Prof. Jieping Zhu earned his B.Sc. from Hangzhou Normal University and his M.Sc. from Lanzhou University (P. R. China) under the guidance of Professor Yulin LI. He then completed a Ph.D. at University Paris XI, France, with Professor H.-P. Husson and Pr. J. C. Quirion. After an 18-month post-doctoral stay with Professor Sir D. H. R. Barton at Texas A & M University (USA), he joined the CNRS “Institut de Chimie des Substances Naturelles” as a Chargé de Recherche and was promoted to Director of Research 2nd class in 2000 and then 1st class in 2006. In September 2010, he moved to the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne, Switzerland as Professor of Organic Chemistry. His research focuses on synthetic methodology, catalytic enantioselective transformations and the total synthesis of complex natural products.

This is a free event. Registration is required and possible until September 29th, 2025
