Author Workshop: Article Writing

The EPFL Photonics Chapter (EPC) is pleased to invite you to our upcoming Author Workshop on November 21st at 13:00 in CO 122. The aim of this event is to provide valuable insight into effective scientific writing and publication practices, shared directly by experts with extensive experience as editors and reviewers.
We are honored to welcome Prof. Luc Thévenaz, Prof. Olivier Martin, professors at EPFL School of Engineering and editors of renowned photonics journals, and Dr. Claus Roll, Senior Deputy Director Europe, OPTICA

The workshop will include talks from our invited speakers on best practices in research writing and common mistakes to avoid. This will be followed by a hands-on feedback session, where participants may present their research summarized in a short abstract and receive direct, constructive feedback. They will also provide you with practical checklists and guidelines for manuscript preparation and submission. The event will end with a concluding networking apéro.
