Session objective: whether you are a data science novice or a seasoned professional, this complimentary online session will be a high-level overview of how to use machine learning to solve problems, make decisions and build smart programs, including an overview of the online course available to gain these sought-after skills.
Live demo: During the session, an EPFL Extension School course instructor(s) will give a live teaching demo on how to clean and analyze data as well as build a simple machine learning model and communicate the entire workflow and the results using Jupyter notebooks.
Target audience: while this introductory session is open to everyone, if you wish to pursue this program, we would recommend that you have some prior experience with a coding language and a basic mathematical background in linear algebra, probability theory, statistics and calculus.
