In 2017, 1.2 trillions of pictures have been taken and posted on social networks thanks to the development of digital photography integrated in smartphones.

The word “digitalization” itself leads us to think about numbers and algorithms, bringing us back to our innate urge of quantification. But, can we actually quantify Beauty? Is it possible to relate such divergent concepts?

Club Photo EPFL and Innovation Forum Lausanne invite you to the event “Digital Photography: How do we quantify beauty: the quest for meaningful Aesthetics in ongoing innovation in ” at EPFL on the 4th of October 2018.
