EIT Urban Mobility is an initiative of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), part of Horizon 2020 framework. Since January 2019 it has been working to encourage positive changes in the way people move around cities. It aims to become the largest European initiative transforming urban mobility. Co-funding of up to € 400 million (2020-2026) from the EIT, a body of the European Union, will help make this happen.

It gathers 85+ partners across Europe such as leading companies, research and education institutions or cities. They all support outreach and cover the complete value chain from vehicle and traffic technologies to urban planning, data services, energy, retail, financial services and engineering. EPFL is a core member of the association since the very first day. Therefore EPFL researchers are fully eligible for EIT Urban Mobility calls and funding for selected project proposals.
