Abstract
The lecture will be based on entropy methods for nonlinear diffusion equations with two main goals: 1. A review of various results of symmetry for the optimizers of nonlinear interpolation inequalities and a classification of some phase transitions between symmetry and symmetry breaking regimes; 2. Constructive methods for stability results in functional inequalities, including explicit results à la Bianchi-Egnell for Sobolev, log-Sobolev and related functional inequalities. Most of these results are based on a nonlinear carré du champ method.
