Are you a young scientist interested in food and nutrition?

For the second year, EPFL and ETHZ Zurich are looking for talented and motivated young researchers ready to address the main challenges of the food system such as nutrition, production packaging and health.

Together with Swiss food industry leaders Bühler, Givaudan and Nestlé, the two federal institutes have launched Future Food – A Swiss Research Initiative in order to expand research and education in the area of food and nutrition science.

Apply now for the Future Food Fellowship! This postdoctoral programme provides personal research funds for three years and enables fellows to work on their projects in a research laboratory with a host professor at EPFL or ETH Zurich and collaborate with industry.

The 2020 call is open to any outstanding proposal but the following topics are prioritized:
  • Plant-based proteins
  • Digital technologies for food design
  • Sustainable packaging
  • Microbiome

Deadline for the submission of applications: 31 March 2020, 23:59 CET.
