When exercises go partially or totally on-line students need different kinds of supports, but also have different kinds of learning opportunities. Well-run forums mean each question may only have to be asked and answered once. Social sharing online means students can clarify things for each other, just like in class. This online workshop looks at how the chat and forum tool ‘Piazza’ can help teachers to effectively move exercise sessions fully or partially online.
