Japan Impact was almost one month ago but PolyJapan is never tired! Spring semester is here, and projection begin again with it. ;)
Come join us at our hilarious screening “Sayonara Mister Despair” who will make you laugh with his own originality!
Here’s the synopsis: Nozomu Itoshiki is a high school teacher in despair. The smallest misfortunes of his work ruin his days and unable to get over these “catastrophes”, he frequently attempts suicide (apparently a normal thing to do in Japan).
Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei is a satirical slice-of-life comedy set in the modern day which is covering various aspects of Japanese life and culture through the interactions of this teacher with his students who are all as eccentric as him.
