On 19 December 2024, the SwissTech Convention Center will be honoured to welcome Claude Nicollier, Marco Sieber and other star guests for an exceptional and historic evening. The SwissTech Convention Center and SwissApollo invite you to enjoy two hours of enchantment.
During this unique evening, we will be celebrating the 80th birthday of our national hero, Claude Nicollier, by retracing the highlights of his professional and private life. The veteran of four space flights will personally welcome his successor, Marco Sieber, to the stage. This will be our new Swiss astronaut's first public appearance. It will also be a moment of exchange between the two men, a historic meeting marked by a symbolic handover.
We will get to know the likeable Marco Sieber better, with his dreams and personal goals as an astronaut of the Artemis generation. He will certainly have the chance one day to go to the Moon and perhaps even Mars, a prospect that sounded like science fiction in our minds until recently.
