[ SNSF Eccellenza Professorial Fellowship - EPFL internal deadline | Research funding ]

The Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) Eccellenza Professorial Fellowships are aimed at outstanding researchers in any disciplines with a doctorate or equivalent qualification, who have not yet obtained an assistant professorship in Switzerland or abroad, who aim at pursuing a career at a higher education research institution in Switzerland and obtain a permanent professorship. Applicants must have an outstanding scientific track record and be capable of carrying out the proposed research project independently. Eccellenza Fellowships cover the grantee's salary and up to 1M CHF in project funds for max. 5 years.

Eligibility: 3 to 8 years of scientific activity after the doctoral exam. At least 2 years of research activity at a Swiss higher education institution, or Swiss higher education degree or Swiss nationality.

EPFL support:
As a host institution, EPFL welcomes excellent candidates who wish to apply to this unique career-funding scheme, under the following conditions:

• An EPFL institute is ready to host the candidate for the entire duration of the project;
• The HR manager, Director of Institute, Dean of School (or Head of ENT-R/I/E) and, if applicable, Head of Equipment support the candidature.

• On EPFL internal procedures (with speakers from EPFL Schools and Institutes) on Friday, November 13, 2020 at 12:00 – 13:00. 
• On preparing your SNSF application (with speakers from SNSF Evaluation Committee members and SNSF grantees) to be held on Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at 12:00 – 13:00.
