The EPFL Education outreach department in collaboration with the School of Computer and Communications Science offer this summer school from October 19 to 22, 2020 for high school students who passed their first year.
Did you ever wonder what laws govern nature and life? How natural selection influences populations? Whether gene mutations are useful?
Computer simulations can answer these questions and even predict which genetic characteristics will be transmitted to future generations. Today, this revolutionary tool is as essential for scientist as are theory and experiments.
During this summer school, you will learn the basics of JavaScript programming and implement key biological concepts in code to analyze their impact on life. The findings are presented visually, in an easy way to interpret them. Come and join us, code your own simulations and share the results with your friends!
Online registration before October 1, 2020.
