The EPFL Sustainable Innovation Challenge (EPFL SIC) association aims to inspire and support the development of sustainable technologies and solutions among students, with a particular focus on combating climate change and ecosystems destruction.

Join us on the 13th & 14th of March 2025 for this brand new event at the Rolex Learning Center & MED!
Your participation is key for us. Our goal is to show that anyone, no matter their background (engineering or not), has the opportunity to contribute significantly to safeguarding our planet for tomorrow. This is how the event will take shape:
- 13th of March
- 12 Student teams from all across Europe will present their solutions with a cash prize at stake - followed by an apperitivo
- We had 42 teams register, from 15 Universities & 7 different countries apply - representing more than 1200 students
- Industry, Academia & Student initiatives exhibition
- Opportunities to involve yourself in sustainability today & tomorrow with internships, student projects, and more
- Wide array of speakers covering sustainable approaches to finance, ressources, energy and much more
- Complement your education on sustainability, in fields you might have never considered before
- IPCC results awareness workshops given by student associations
- (A lot more to be honest... but there's not enough space here!)
- 12 Student teams from all across Europe will present their solutions with a cash prize at stake - followed by an apperitivo
- 14th of March
- Continuation of speaker interventions
- Workshops & pannels on careers in Sustainability given by E4S, Deloitte and industry experts
- An Academic Citizen's Assembly centered on the role of technology in the fight against climate change and ecosystems destruction
- Annoucement of results & closing ceremony of the student challenge
Participation is free of charge, but we would appreciate it if you could register to the sub-parts of the event you would like to attend, as some might be limited in place. Registrations will open on the 23d of February at midnight.
