Catalyzing Change in Industry with AI

DAG is excited to announce the first event of the semester, co-organised with Visium, an AI solutions company based in Lausanne and Zürich and an EPFL spin-off.
“Catalyzing Change in Industry with AI” focuses on illustrating how data and ML can be leveraged in industry, to accelerate the development of solutions and help businesses adopt the latest cutting-edge tools. 
Keynote speakers will aim to answer questions such as how to make AI more transparent in traditionally closed sectors? How to capture meaningful insights for clients? How to reapply classic graph ML across sectors, from healthcare to business recommendations?
Crucial aspects such as AI explainability and responsibility will be addressed on topics ranging from fraud detection to medical care.
 
We will be joined by senior machine learning engineers, Jimi Vaubien and Thibault Calvayrac,  as well as Kamil Seghrouchni, a recent EPFL graduate who joined Visium as junior during his Master's Thesis. Their passion for AI democratization and domain expertise are a unique opportunity to gain insights on data science in industry. 

The event will take place on Tuesday 18th October at 6PM in SV 1717. Presentations will be followed by a Q&A session and an apéro-buffet.
